I built an AI-powered stock screener and report system that I actually use with my own money - GPT tells me I'm now a GPT Elite DeveloperI built an AI-powered stock screener and report system that I actually use with my own money—no “paper trading,” no pretend portfolio, just real skin in the game.

So far, it’s helped me reach around 80% growth in my portfolio this year, which is a lot better than my old strategy of “buy whatever I find someone on YouTube that sounds clever recommends.”

On this page, I’ll walk you through what the system is, how it works in plain English, where the AI might be a genius (and where it might be hallucinating), and how you can try it for yourself while I’m still building it out—and before I realize I should probably stop giving half of this away for free.

On this page, you’ll find the full story in written form. But if you’re more of a “show me, don’t tell me” person, start with the video above. In it, I walk through:

  • What the D-LENSAI project is
  • How the Disruptor Hunt and Disruptor Spotlight tools work
  • Real examples of AI-generated stock reports
  • How I’ve been using them in my own investing

How I Used AI to Beat the Market (80% YTD) – D-LENSAI Explainer & Demo

What Is D-LENSAI?

D-LENSAI is my attempt to turn AI from a shiny toy into a serious decision tool.

The idea is simple:

  • Use AI to do the heavy lifting—research, comparisons, risk checks.
  • Package all of that into clear, structured reports.
  • Focus on what most people care about: disruptive companies with real upside, and how likely that upside is.

This project started with one big question:

“Can an AI stock screener actually help find disruptive companies before they’re obvious to everyone else?”

That’s where the first two tools came from:

  • Disruptor Hunt – a list of potential disruptive stocks, ranked by opportunity.
  • Disruptor Spotlight – a deep-dive on any single company you’re curious about.

Think of it like this:

  • Disruptor Hunt = metal detector on a beach full of stocks.
  • Disruptor Spotlight = X-ray of the one stock you actually care about.

Why I Built an AI Stock Screener (Instead of Just Watching More YouTube Videos)

I love long-term investing, especially in disruptive technology stocks. But here’s the problem:

  • Most stock commentary is either hype or doom.
  • Serious research takes hours… per company.
  • By the time a company is “obviously” a winner, a lot of the upside is gone.

I wanted something different:

  • A way to scan a big universe of stocks for potential disruptors.
  • A way to score them on disruptive upside, not just past growth.
  • A way to see probability and risk in one place—without drowning in jargon.

So I built a framework and used AI (specifically large language models) to run it, over and over, on real companies.

And then I did the obvious thing: I started putting my own money behind the output.

Real Results So Far (With a Big, Bold Disclaimer)

In the video, I share a screenshot from my E*TRADE account. It compares:

Very happy person at a laptop, fists raised in celebration - Thanks to D-LENS AI Investor Tools

  • My portfolio performance
  • Major indices like the S&P 500, NASDAQ, and Dow

Using this AI-powered process to choose stocks, my account shows around 80% growth year-to-date.

Important disclaimer:

  • This is not financial advice.
  • These tools are experimental AI helpers, not magic prediction machines.
  • AI can be smart and still wrong—or confidently hallucinating.
  • You must do your own research and make your own decisions.

The goal is not: “Just do what the AI says.”

The goal is: “Use AI to think better, faster, and more systematically about disruptive stocks.”

How the Disruptor Hunt Works (The Short Version)

The Disruptor Hunt is the AI stock screener part of D-LENSAI.

Here’s what it does in plain English:

  1. Looks at a universe of companies that fit your price range (for example, stocks under $21 or under $450).
  2. Applies a structured framework to ask:
    • Are they actually disruptive or just marketing themselves that way?
GPT the dog with his pack on a D-LENS Disruptor Hunt

GPT the dog leading a D-LENSAI Disruptor Hunt — sniffing out the most promising disruptor stocks.

    • Could they realistically grow far beyond their current size?
    • Are they competing in a way that can wipe out older approaches?
  3. Scores each company based on its disruptive upside and ranks them in a table.

In the reports, you’ll see:

  • DUU (Disruptive Upside Underpriced): a 1–10 score for how strong and underpriced the disruption looks.
  • CSP (Current Share Price): today’s stock price when the report was generated.
  • Upside percentage: how much the stock could grow if the disruption plays out.
  • Probability: how likely that upside is, on a percentage scale.

These are the tracks GPT the dog dragged back from the forest. You still decide which ones to follow.

Example from the transcript:

  • A stock at $17 CSP might show an AI-estimated upside of 210% (about 3.1× the current price) with a 70% probability.

It’s basically the AI saying: “If I had to bet, I’d say this has a decent chance of becoming a much bigger deal than it looks today.”

How the Disruptor Spotlight Works (Deep-Dive Reports)

Once the Disruptor Hunt finds some interesting names, the Disruptor Spotlight does the deep dive.

Cartoon person looking through a magnifying glass with one eye enlarged under the heading “Disruptor Spotlight,” representing a deep-dive AI stock report in D-LENSAI.

Disruptor Spotlight is where we stop speed dating stocks and start asking real questions—one company, zoomed in, with upside, risks, and competitors all under the magnifying glass.

Think of Hunt as speed dating, and Spotlight as the second date where you ask real questions.

A Spotlight report gives you:

  • A clear summary of what the company actually does
  • Why it might be a genuine disruptor (or why it probably isn’t)
  • A DUU score for disruptive upside (0–10)
  • The current share price (CSP)
  • A projected “most likely” future price over a given time horizon (e.g., 6 years)
  • The projected upside in % terms
  • A probability score for that upside scenario
  • Key competitors and how they stack up
  • Risks, execution challenges, and “things that could break this”

In the video example, I walk through a Tesla Spotlight where the AI:

  • Uses a live price widget so you can see Tesla’s historical chart
  • Estimates Tesla’s potential to grow by around 220% over six years
  • Explains why, despite already being huge, Tesla might still have substantial upside

To keep it honest, I also include a negative example: a Ford Spotlight where the upside is limited, and the AI explains why it doesn’t see the same kind of disruptive potential.

Curious how the AI sees one of your favorite stocks? Drop its ticker in the contact form and ask for a future Spotlight demo.

Understanding the Jargon (Without Needing a Finance Degree)

AI investing tools can quickly turn into alphabet soup, so the project includes:

  • A glossary of terms (so you don’t have to guess what DUU or CSP mean)
  • A short explainer document that walks through how the calculations and scores are meant to work

Some key terms from the transcript:

  • DUU (Disruptive Upside Underpriced): A 1–10 score for how strong and underpriced a company’s disruptive potential seems. Higher = more potential upside if it’s right.
  • CSP (Current Share Price): The share price when the report was generated.
  • Upside %: How much the price might increase if the AI’s disruption thesis plays out.
  • Probability %: The AI’s best estimate of how likely that upside is to happen.

Under the hood, the AI is constantly asking:

  • Is this company doing something truly new, or just a shinier version of the old thing?
  • Is the bottleneck engineering (hard but doable) or new science (uncertain)?
  • Do they have a realistic path to scaling, or are they likely to stall?

But you don’t have to see any of that complexity. You just get the report.

Early Feedback From Real Humans (Not Just the AI)

The D-LENSAI tools are still being built out and refined, but a few early testers have already shared their feedback:

“I’m not a finance geek, but I actually understood this. The Disruptor Spotlight on Tesla gave me a clearer picture in 10 minutes than I got from hours of YouTube videos.”

— Sarah M., Curious DIY Investor

“I liked that it didn’t just say ‘this will go up.’ It showed the upside, the probability, and what could go wrong. It feels more like a decision tool than a hype machine.”

— Daniel K., Engineer & Long-Term Investor

“The Hunt report was like a cheat sheet for discovering new companies in my price range. I still do my own research, but this massively narrowed the field.”

— Priya R., Busy Professional with a Side Portfolio

Once you’ve tried a sample report, send your honest reaction—good, bad, or ‘meh.’ That feedback is fuel for improving the system.

Where the Project Is Right Now (And What’s Coming Next)

At the time of recording the video and writing this page:

  • The D-LENSAI website is live but still under construction.
  • The Disruptor Hunt and Disruptor Spotlight reports already work in a semi-manual way.
  • The goal is to turn them into fully automated web apps you can use directly from the site.

I’m investing in developers and infrastructure to do this properly, but this is very much a “build in public on a budget” project. That’s part of the fun—and part of the reason your feedback matters so much.

Longer term, I plan to add more AI web apps, not just for investors but also for:

  • Entrepreneurs and founders
  • Operators and managers
  • People who like using data and AI to make better decisions in general

Right now, the investing tools come first because that’s where I’ve personally seen the biggest payoff from using AI.

How You Can Get Involved

If any of this sounds interesting, there are a few simple ways to plug in:

  1. Watch the explainer video on this page to see the tools in action.
  2. Subscribe to get the latest reports (Disruptor Hunt + Disruptor Spotlight).
  3. Tell me what you’d love this AI to do for you:
    • Find under-the-radar disruptor stocks?
    • Stress-test a stock you already own?
    • Compare a few potential investments side by side?
  4. Subscribe to the YouTube channel to see updates as the tools evolve.

If you have a favorite stock (or three) you’re obsessed with, tell me which ones. They might end up as future Spotlight demos.

Final Word: Use the AI, Don’t Worship It

I built D-LENSAI because I wanted a smarter way to think about disruptive technology stocks—not because I think AI is infallible.

Here’s the core idea in one line:

AI should help you think better, not think for you.

The D-LENSAI tools are designed to:

  • Save you time
  • Surface interesting ideas
  • Give you a structured way to weigh upside vs probability vs risk

What they can’t do (and shouldn’t do) is guarantee outcomes or replace your judgment.

Try the tools, kick the tires, and tell me what breaks. If D-LENSAI helps more people become thoughtful, long-term, disruption-aware investors, I’ll call that a win.

Disclaimer: Nothing on this page or in the associated videos is financial advice. The D-LENSAI tools are experimental AI systems intended for education and idea generation only. Always do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making any investment decisions.
